"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does."
- Margaret Mead
Your comfort with me and my style of therapy is important to the success of your treatment. You should know that I utilize a variety of approaches to therapy, including internal family systems therapy (IFS) and EMDR. In addition to discussions, emotional support, breathing exercises and assignments, I will use certain interventions to help you explore emotions, thoughts and behaviors that do not facilitate change.
My education includes a master’s degree in social work from Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in communications from St. John Fisher College. I am also working toward an advanced degree in marriage and family therapy at Saint Louis University, where I also see couples in a research and training setting. I have worked in community mental health, corporate, university and private practice settings in New York, Ohio, Missouri and Illinois.
